Hove YMCA Housing Advice Drop In

If you are homeless or having problems in your current housing, and are aged 16-25 the Hove YMCA can help. Our Housing Advice Centre at Ovest House offers advice on all aspects of housing and homelessness for young people.

General Drop In: Monday - Friday at 1.00pm-5:00pm

Under 18s Drop In: Monday/ Tuesday/ Thursday/ Friday at 9.30am-12.30pm

Advice for Young People

Hove YMCA tenancy support helps young people aged 16-25 who are living in B&B, temporary or permanent accommodation move towards independent living. The worker can visit you in your own home, in the community or in one of Hove YMCA’s drop ins.

Moving Home

Finding a new home can be a difficult business. The Y Contact relocation service aims to take the stress out of the process by supporting young people through this tricky period.

You can get help from Hove YMCA if you:

• Have no local connection or looking to make a fresh start?
• Are aged 16-25?
• Are homeless or in poor housing?
• Need help to find accommodation outside of Brighton and Hove.
• Are worried about travel costs.
• Need support with the move and when you get there.

Give us a call - we'll work with you, so you can make the move when you're ready.

Relocation Workers are also at The Clocktower Sanctuary every Tuesday 11-1 and First Base every Monday 12-2.

Skillz 4 Life

Skillz 4 Life is an 11 week course for young people covering a diverse range of topics from practical advice on tenancy and budgeting to drugs, alcohol and relationships. There will also be an opportunity for 1-to-1 sessions with specialized advice on areas such as building a CV or finding a flat.
