Hove YMCA Youth Advice CentreHove YMCA Youth Advice CentreHove YMCA's Youth Advice Centre in Hove runs drop-in sessions every weekday. The drop-in is a safe space for young people to receive impartial advice and information on a wide range of issues.

Our services are:

Impartial: We offer a range of support services to help young people aged 13-25 which are free.
Friendly: We have a team of staff and volunteers who can offer information, advice, practical help and support.
Confidential: We will not pass on any information about you without your permission (unless we believe that you are at risk of harm, or someone else could be)

Pregnancy Advice and Support

Parent and ChildParent and ChildYou don't need to feel alone if you think, or know, that you are pregnant. Come to one of our information and advice drop-ins at the Youth Advice Centre in Hove or our Safe + Sorted Advice Centre in East brighton and speak to a worker.

Whether you decide to continue with the pregnancy or not we can offer you impartial advice and support. We can link you in to specialized counselling or support where you can receive regular help. If you're still at school there are specialist midwives we can put you in contact with to support you and your education.

Sexual Health and Relationship Advice

Sexual Health AdviceSexual Health AdviceMany young people have concerns about relationships and sexual health. Our workers can:

  • Help young people to make informed choices
  • Provide access to contraception
  • Undertake pregnancy testing
  • Undertake testing for sexually transmitted infections
  • Offer support to young parents
  • Run groups for young fathers/ young men.

Support for Young Parents

Getting AdviceGetting AdviceOur workers offer practical help and emotional support to young parents across the city. We can offer one to one support to young men and young women and can offer some group work for young fathers.
