Have a go at free rock climbing, chill out to some live music, get stuck into some fun activities or grab some great freebies. This and much more will be at the Right Here Brighton and Hove official launch event on Monday 28th June 3pm-6pm in Jubilee Square
Right Here is a youth participation project, led by volunteers aged 16 – 25 to promote the mental and emotional well being of young people in Brighton & Hove.
This groundbreaking project is a partnership between Sussex
Right hereCentral YMCA, Mind in Brighton and Hove and the Children & Young Peoples Trust. The partnership was selected to develop one of four pilot projects from across the UK by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation.
Right Here work with young people to help them improve their mental and emotional well-being through building on resilience and coping skills through activities. They also aim to raise awareness about mental and emotional health through campaigns to promote well being and to influence the quality of services for young people in the city.
The launch event on Monday is open to everyone including young people, parents/carers, community members and professionals. Come along to find out more about Right Here and meet the staff team, young volunteers, and members of the Youth Panel. There will also be opportunities for young people to sign up for the free activities taking place over the rest of the year.
