Volunteer Project CoordinatorHaving worked in the business world for many years I wanted to test myself in a completely different environment. Hove YMCA appealed to me as it is physically right in the heart of the community and has a wide scope in terms of the projects with which it is involved. I have had the chance to meet many people and have witnessed first hand the commitment and value that the organization brings to the local area
Simon has worked for American Express for many years and therefore, as part of his company benefit package, he had the opportunity to go on a Sabbatical Programme and work with a charitable organization. He worked with us for 6 months during which time he undertook various tasks including developing an Induction programme for volunteers, partnering with Brighton University to bring volunteers into the organization, giving young people careers advice and working in our Thursday evening Youth Club.
