Alistair Liddiard

Role:
Sports Assistant
Over the year spent with us, Ali has built up confidence and good relationships with the young people he has helped coach. He has done a great job and everyone who he has helped with thoroughly enjoys his presence - Phil Carey, Sports Development Worker

Ali came to Sussex Central YMCA through NACRO to complete his CSLA and FA Level 1 Course. After passing the course Ali stayed with us to complete his 100 hours voluntary service. Ali really enjoyed the course and the experience so he decided to carry on volunteering for the Sports department. Ali’s confidence grew and grew and he started volunteering for other agencies and organisations. He helped setup a football team at NACRO where he continues to volunteers. To date Ali has done over 200 voluntary hours for us which he has thoroughly benefited from. He picked up a “Volunteer of the Year” award from the Sports Department at Sussex Central YMCA’s Y-Oscars, which took place last October and he was highly commended as a “Young Volunteer of the Year” at the Sussex sports partnerships awards in November.
