Hove YMCA Host Youth Arts Fringe Event
Youth Arts FringeThis year Hove YMCA is excited to host an exhibition as part of the Youth Arts Fringe. The Youth Arts Fringe, to be hosted in May 2008 to tie in with the Brighton Festival, will showcase the creative work produced by young people through young peoples’ services across Brighton and Hove.
Young people from the ‘Step On’ Project (a personal development programme for 13-19 year olds) will be exhibiting hand printed t-shirts in our shop window of the Hove YMCA charity shop in London Road throughout May.

Young people's participation and creativity are central to the guiding principles of Hove YMCA and their feedback has proved key in the development of services and events designed for young people. We currently have young people developing media projects including a website for young people, digital music and live performances. Additionally we have the Experience in Mind project in which young people have developed training packages for mental health practitioners and are delivering the training to the practitioners themselves.
Hove YMCA is a keen supporter of community events and has been hosting to community events for many years. As well as the Youth Arts Fringe, we have many community events and activities happening at various sites across the city. Have a look at our current events for a taste of these community events.
