Dialogue Mediation for Divorce and Separation

During a divorce and separation families are likely to experience difficulties and need to make important decisions such as:

  • Ensuring children's needs are met
  • Parenting plans
  • Individual family members personal futures
  • Finance and property matters

Mediation is one way of helping to resolve these issues. The advantage of mediation are that families are empowered to make their own decisions which can lessen hostility and acrimony.

Dialogue Family Mediation

Family Mediation is a way of resolving disputes for families experiencing arguments/communication difficulties. Mediation offers and opportunity to work towards an agreement about the best way forward.

Family mediation is used to solve family issues such as:

  • Disputes between parents/carers and their children
  • Disagreements between parents/carers or step parents
  • Disagreements over care for elderly or seriously ill relatives
  • Grandparents contact with grandchildren
  • Homelessness caused by family arguments

Youth Inclusion Projects

Sussex Central YMCA in East BrightonSussex Central YMCA in East BrightonThe Youth Inclusion Project (YIP & YIP+) in East Brighton is a small, friendly team offering free support to young people who are getting into trouble, or ‘at risk' of getting in trouble, through anti-social or offending behaviour either with the Police, Community Safety Team or at their school. We work with young people aged between 8-17 years old living in the East Brighton area (Bates Estate, Higher Bevendean, Manor Place, Moulsecoomb, Saunders Park & Whitehawk).
